CommunityNet is currently a small project based here in Sheffield to assist groups and individuals to learn the skills and make the contacts required to make a difference in their communities.

The aim of this project is to help the individuals involved in such projects develop connections, network with people who’ve done similar work, find best practice, benefit from some ‘out of the box’ thinking and perhaps work with volunteers to develop technical or social solutions that are appropriate in terms of cost, sustainbility and environmental and economic impact.

There are two other ‘legs’ to the tripod; CommunityHost provides zero or low cost Internet Hosting and development, and CommunityBlog is providing zero cost blogging facilities.
